How to Play

The goal

Every day there's a new photo taken at, of, or near an airport. Your job is to figure out which airport it is.

Making your guess

Find the airport on the VFR sectional map, or search by name, city, or code (FAA, ICAO, or IATA). Tap an airport to select it, then hit Commit guess. You get one guess per puzzle, so look closely. Tap the photo to zoom in.

Which airports count

Every answer is a public-use or military airport in the United States. Private airfields, heliports, and seaplane bases aren't included.

A new puzzle every day

A new photo goes up every night at midnight Pacific time.

Scoring

• Get it right and you score a perfect 1,000.
• Miss, and we'll show you the correct airport and how far off you were. The closer your guess, the more points you get, up to 950 for a near miss.

Share your score

After you guess, tap Share to copy your result and send it to friends. Your score and distance are included, but never the airport, so you won't spoil it for anyone.
